Cherry blossoms in Bonn

A new post on my blog for the first time in 2 years. To be honest, these 2 years changed my life significantly.

Due to health problems and other personal circumstances, I had to put my activities on a long pause. But it becomes most clear for me at such moments – I should take the camera in my hands, feel inspiration and passion for work, and life is filled with bright colors again.

For many years I have seen photos of gorgeous pink streets. For me it was “somewhere in Germany”. And in the spring of 2023, I realized that by the will of destiny (I can’t say it any other way) we are exactly here.

Life has taught me not to put off until tomorrow what can be done today. Therefore, early in the morning, we went to look for the world-famous Bonn cherry blossoms (Kirschblüte).

The most popular place is at the corner of Breite Strasse and Max Strasse in Old Town 50.737338, 7.095846. There is a large parking nearby. You can start your route there, and then choose a direction according to the call of your heart and eyes. In my opinion, the most picturesque streets are Heerstraße and Breite Strasse.

Come early in the morning to enjoy the atmosphere of the blooming streets and flowers. Even on a weekday at 8 in the morning, there will be many photographers around you, and in the afternoon you will walk in a crowd of tourists.

Also, I would like to note that in 2023, the peak of Japanese cherry blossoms was in the middle of April, and in 2024 on the first days of April.

But not only in the center of Bonn you can admire this floral beauty. You can find many pink sakura trees in Rheinaue Park, mainly near the central parking.

I continue to discover new places and angles on the streets of Bonn and Siegburg.
